Tettegouche Area Hiking Info

Direct your GPS to go here - then go through the park - along the road there are plenty of amazing places to stop and admire the scenery. This specific spot is an overlook to the city and lake.

If you go further up the lake you may want to hit up Betty's Pies :)

If you are ambitious (have more time) - go here - or - for a great view of the lake with a short hike park here and take the trail that heads to Gooseberry Falls:

Hiking Trail info Castle Danger to Gooseberry Falls and hike up to Wolf Rock - probably about 1/3 of a mile - easy hike:

Up the road a bit is Split Rock river loop - very cool - it is a loop for backpackers but not day hikers so you will want to hike as far as you can and then head back - amazing views along the way:

For High Falls - which was very active when I was there - park here:

If you are feeling ambitious I would highly recommend hiking up to this point: which is the Bean / Bear Lake overlook

and / or Mount Trudee which is along the same segment of Superior Hiking Trail

It looks like the closest place to park to those areas is in Silver Bay here and you can take the spur up in there
